Job summary

In-Place Machining Company (IPM) seeks highly skilled machinists for field work across the U.S. and internationally. Join a team that delivers critical machining challenges outside the shop, solving complex problems in diverse environments.

You will perform precision field machining, hold tight tolerances, and operate/maintain equipment at customer sites while collaborating with engineers, managers, and clients. Travel, safety, and quality are prioritized in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
• Strong experience operating Bridgeport mills and manual engine lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Skilled in precision measurement using micrometers and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Experience with rigging, hand tools, and power tools.
• A self-starter who can troubleshoot, adapt, and succeed in the field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
• Technical degree or Journeyman certification preferred.

• Comfortable using mobile applications for timekeeping, expenses, and project reporting
