Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Field Machinist for service North America with up to 100% travel. The role focuses on precision machining for turbine and generator equipment in the field, using portable and stationary machines, and reading technical drawings to assure safety and quality.

You will be responsible for meeting high standards, handling 12-hour shifts, and maintaining readiness for domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate in Machining Technology preferred or hands-on related machining experience.
• 2–10+ years of hands-on machining/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining operations on turbine and generator equipment in the field.
• Set up and operate portable and stationary lathes, milling, boring, grinding, and drilling machines.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality on every job.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and charts to execute work safely.
