Job summary
AST SpaceMobile is building a global satellite broadband network to work with standard mobile devices. The Field Engineer - Satellite Gateway will install, configure and maintain gateway infrastructure for LEO networks, diagnose RF and antenna systems, and perform testing and integration activities.
The role requires traveling domestically and internationally to support installations and maintenance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in satellite communications, RF testing, and IP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CS, EE, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
- Certifications in satellite communications (VSAT, SatCom) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain satellite gateway infrastructure for LEO networks.
- Troubleshoot antennas, RF systems and frequency converters.
- Perform RF testing and measurements using diagnostic tools.
- Coordinate integration, commissioning and validation of gateway components.
- Provide remote technical support to field locations and operations teams.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
