Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Gateway Antenna Engineer to monitor global gateway and telemetry stations, provide real-time service assurance, and resolve incidents. This on-site role supports satellite teleport systems and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure network health from our Lanham, MD office.

Required: Bachelor's in CS/EE/telecommunications, 3+ years in satellite or cellular communications, hands-on RF systems, high‑power amplifiers, antenna drive systems, baseband

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Monitor connectivity and operational status of global gateway and telemetry stations.
Troubleshoot anomalies and network failures; perform root-cause analysis and escalate as required.
Maintain incident documentation, manage trouble tickets, and generate reports.
Ensure service assurance through real-time monitoring and incident resolution.
Provide first-line, customer-facing technical support (phone, email, chat).
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on satellite teleport systems and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for escalations, upgrades, and system changes.
Operate and maintain fault management systems to track network health and performance.
