Job summary

Roche Diagnostics seeks a visionary Head of Global External Affairs to steer policy architecture and high‑stakes external engagement. Reporting to the Global Head of QR&E, you will lead global teams to harmonize regulatory, healthcare, environmental, and trade positions that advance Roche Diagnostics priorities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in Public Policy, Health Policy, International Relations, Law, Environmental Affairs, or Life Sciences
• Minimum 15+ years of global or multi-regional leadership experience in External Affairs, Policy Setting, or Government Relations within IVD/Medical Device/Pharma sectors
• Proven track record leading global teams and building internal policy capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead central policy setting and governance for Roche Diagnostics across trade, regulatory, healthcare, environmental, and industry topics
• Strategic partnerships and external engagement with regulatory entities, international organisations, and policy platforms
• Regional alignment with affiliate teams translating global policy into local strategies and ensuring implementation
• Demonstrate leadership across QR&E, Diagnostics, Pharma, Commercial, Legal, and Sustainability to achieve enterprise policy cohesion
