OpenAI is seeking a Senior Global Extended Workforce Compliance Lead to design and implement practical, business-aligned compliance frameworks for its extended workforce program. This hands-on senior role balances momentum with safeguards and partners with Legal and Compliance on regulatory matters.

Based in the U.S. with a hybrid model (3 days in office), the position reports to the Head of Extended Workforce and supports OpenAI’s international growth and governance across regions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in global workforce compliance or HR operations or extended workforce governance.
• Experience operating across multiple countries and regions.
• Proven ability to build, operate, and mature compliance programs in complex, high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with extended workforce ecosystems and VMS platforms (e.g., VNDLY, SAP Fieldglass, Beeline).
• Bachelor’s degree; JD degree is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and advance OpenAI’s extended workforce program, including operating models, governance structures, and escalation frameworks.
• Develop country-specific compliance guidance for OpenAI’s extended workforce in support of global operations.
• Serve as the primary owner for extended workforce compliance across regions, worker types, and engagement models.
• Partner with the Head of Extended Workforce to ensure compliance approaches align with business needs and risk tolerance.
• Design and maintain compliance standards, controls, and operating guidance for speed, scale, and efficiency.
• Embed compliance requirements into day-to-day workflows for extended workforce processes (onboarding, offboarding, approvals).
• Coordinate immigration, visa, and right-to-work compliance with suppliers, Legal, and People Compliance.
