Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist within the Nutrition Division. The role partners with the US Planning Center to ensure on-time delivery and compliant documentation for North American products.

You will manage shipments, allocate products, and maintain communication with customers and internal teams while monitoring KPIs and pursuing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in supply chain planning and export operations.
• Strong coordination and communication with manufacturing and customers.
• Ability to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment of products from manufacturing and distribution locations in the Americas to Abbott affiliates and direct customers worldwide.
• Allocate product to maximize container utilization and minimize transportation costs.
• Ensure prompt, accurate and efficient handling of communications concerning shipments and related aspects.
• Monitor KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans to improve performance.
• Maintain the master arrivals schedule (MAS) to meet market demand and safety stock targets.
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness and customer service.
