Job summary
Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Research Scientist Product Development to lead the technical development of nutritional products for global markets. Qualifications
- BS in Food Science or related field required; advanced degrees preferred depending on experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
- Self-starter who can collaborate on cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop nutritional products for commercial launch in global markets by creating new formulations and optimizing claims and costs.
- Independently lead the technical development of nutritional products of various complexities.
- Plan and execute experimental designs to optimize nutrient, microbiological, organoleptic, and physical quality of products.
- Interpret test results, communicate conclusions and action plans, and prepare updates for senior leadership.
- Lead cross-functional Technical Team meetings and support product development across Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Legal.
