Job summary

Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Export Agent to manage outgoing international shipments from pickup to delivery. The role requires knowledge of air and sea freight, truck services, and completion of waybills while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include booking shipments, monitoring routes, and verifying documentation against US and foreign regulations. A minimum high school diploma and at least one year in the industry are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• One year minimum industry experience required; three years preferred.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing and able to learn new tasks with training provided.
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments for export.
• Knowledge of international shipping rules.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Booking shipments with airlines.
• Working knowledge of airline routes.
• Negotiation of spot rates.
• Preparing and proofreading export documents.
• Submitting shipment pre-advices and documents to overseas agents.
• Monitoring departures and deliveries; ensure clearance and delivery.
