Job summary

Bodycote plc is seeking an Export Control/Compliance Manager NA to ensure ITAR, EAR, DFARS and other export control regulations are met across global operations. You will review customer and government documentation and coordinate with Plants to enforce security and compliance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills with experience in manufacturing or defence contracting, and the ability to lead training and internal audits.

Qualifications

• This position requires ITAR compliance; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, international relations, or a related field is required.
• 5–7 years of experience in export control compliance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, DFARS and other export control regulations.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory environment and industry standards.
• Identify and assess compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review customer and government documents for proper handling of export‑controlled information.
• Coordinate with plants to enforce security for export controlled products and data.
• Maintain licenses, approvals, and certifications; prepare and monitor export license/agreements.
• Provide training on export control regulations to employees.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
