Job summary

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) in Rockville, Maryland is seeking an Expert Committee Manager to ensure continuity of meetings and relationships with USP’s Council of Experts and related groups.

You will support compendial projects, volunteer recruitment, and the development and revision of USP standards. This non-supervisory, individual contributor role emphasizes collaboration, meeting facilitation, and precise coordination of hybrid meetings and cross‑functional activities to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related science and/or certification, with applicable work experience.
• A minimum of five years with a combination of relevant project management skills and/or scientific background.
• Prior experience in a scientific based industry or association.

Responsibilities

• Manages Expert Committees and related groups by developing agendas, briefing materials, tracking action items and meeting outputs.
• Communicates with program unit leads and coordinates cross-functional program projects.
• Coordinates cross-functional support of hybrid meetings for Expert Body and represents USP.
• Contributes to Expert Committee Operations projects, improving processes and implementing solutions.
• Assists preparation of summaries of USP’s decisions as official responses in collaboration with staff.
• Contributes to Compendial Operations teams engaged in Call for Candidates or Expert Volunteer Recruitment.
• Demonstrates adaptability to evolving processes and handles multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
