Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Experience Designer to drive international expansion, partnering with country managers, researchers, product and engineering teams to craft globally resonant, localizable experiences. You will guide design strategy, elevate visual and interaction craft, and lead cross-functional initiatives across time zones.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design leadership experience.
• Ability to formulate design directions and mentor teams.
• Strategic thinker guiding global product design across ambiguity.
• Systems-oriented approach to holistic experiences including online and offline.
• Exceptional craftsmanship in interaction and visual design.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple international initiatives: define strategy, objectives and vision for holistic user experience.
• Ensure consistency with Airbnb brand and product architecture across regions.
• Collaborate with Country Managers, PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, Researchers, Localization Managers and Writers to define problems, goals, and map user flows.
• Influence leadership with clear storytelling to navigate ambiguity and solve global design challenges.
• Scope projects, define design processes, allocate tasks and manage timelines.
• Provide mentorship and evangelize design thinking across functions.
