Job summary

Gotion Inc. in Fremont, CA, is seeking a seasoned Technical/Program Manager to own US customer programs for battery cell and pack development.

You will lead technical discussions, manage program milestones, and coordinate multi-functional teams across regions to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets. The role requires 5+ years in program management, deep Li-ion battery knowledge, and a proven track record with OEM customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 3+ years in automotive, EV or energy storage product development.
• 5+ years in Technical/Program Management or equivalent customer-facing leadership.
• Strong understanding of Li-ion cell/pack development and validation processes.
• Proven experience working with US/global automotive OEMs.
• Solid knowledge of automotive product development and launch processes (DV/PV, APQP, PPAP).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to interact with customers and leadership.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for US customers across battery cell/pack development programs.
• Lead customer engagement, discussions, reviews, issue resolution, and escalation management.
• Facilitate technical meetings/workshops with clear action tracking and alignment with internal teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams during RFI/RFQ processes and develop technical proposals with engineering and commercial teams.
• Coordinate development from concept to production, aligning with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed program schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify risks across technical, schedule, cost, and quality; drive mitigation plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across regions to meet timing, deliverables, and cost.
• Regularly report program status, risks, and decisions to leadership.
• Identify innovative solutions to overcome obstacles while maintaining schedule.
• Support on-site customer meetings, workshops, and plant visits in US and China.
• Support DFMEA, PFMEA, DV/PV, APQP, PPAP activities as required by programs.
• Up to 30% domestic and international travel.
