X Energy, LLC in Maryland seeks a Director of Employee Relations and Compliance to build scalable ER and HR Compliance programs for a growing, global workforce. You will establish governance, processes, controls, and reporting to ensure lawful, consistent handling of employee matters and to support rapid growth.

You will evolve ER into a proactive, data-informed capability, partnering with Legal, Compliance, HRBPs, and leaders to minimize risk and enable expansion while ensuring policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 12+ years in ER/HR compliance or related fields.
• Experience building or transforming ER/HR capabilities in a growing/regulated org.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment requirements and translating regulations into processes.
• Experience handling complex investigations and sensitive employee matters.
• Experience with compliance testing, audits, controls, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders, Legal, Compliance, HR, and stakeholders.
• Experience using technology to improve HR processes and outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Build and lead ER and HR compliance operating model including governance and service standards.
• Design scalable processes, systems, and infrastructure for growth and international expansion.
• Establish case-management and investigation framework including intake, escalation, and documentation.
• Lead or oversee high-risk ER matters and workplace investigations.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, HRBPs, Security, and business leaders on risk matters.
• Develop HR compliance framework with regulatory requirements, controls, and reporting.
• Oversee employment-related compliance activities at federal, state, and international levels.
• Own HR policy and employee handbook governance and updates.
• Create repeatable processes for expanding into new jurisdictions.
• Develop ER and compliance dashboards to identify trends and risks.
• Evaluate tech and AI to improve case management and reporting.
• Build ER & Compliance team and scalable playbooks for managers.
