Job summary

Volvo Group’s Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a sales and rentals professional for the California region. You will manage dealer and contractor relationships, drive machine sales, and coordinate with service and rental teams to meet customer needs.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction equipment sales/service, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Travel within CA is expected; competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years in service, parts or product support operations.
• 3–4 years of strong sales experience with construction products.
• Experience in distribution-based business within the construction equipment industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell and rent Volvo GPE equipment to a broad contractor base in the CA region.
• Engage in local industry associations and develop relationships.
• Prepare weekly sales forecasts.
• Utilize CRM and tools to record calls, quotes, visits, and sales.
• Build on existing relationships and develop new ones to increase machine sales and parts.
• Maintain product application expertise relative to customer base.
• Coordinate with product support and Rental Manager.
• Communicate pricing and industry changes to regional team.
