Job summary

Bloom Energy in San Jose seeks a Senior Director, EPC Programs to lead global EPC strategy and execution for installation projects.

You will identify EPC partners, negotiate terms, and drive cost efficiency while coordinating international construction efforts within the Customer Installations Group. The role is on-site five days a week in San Jose, CA. You will mentor teams and refine contracting methods to meet evolving business needs, while implementing new installation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement or contracts, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven track record in managing EPCs and GCs, ideally in the energy sector.
• Technical expertise to identify and qualify multiple EPC partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate international construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select EPC partners globally to support Bloom Energy’s installation business.
• Develop and implement a global EPC strategy focused on Bloom’s expansion in Europe and Asia.
• Negotiate costs, scope, operational performance, and terms with EPC partners.
• Introduce and maintain cost reduction tracking methodologies across design, construction, and product teams.
• Cultivate partnership relationships with EPCs and pursue new business opportunities through partner sales channels.
• Lead and manage the Customer Installations Group (CIG) supply base to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
