Job summary

A&O Shearman is actively seeking a talented Business Development Manager for Energy, Natural Resources, & Infrastructure in the U.S. ENRI group. You will collaborate with partners to shape BD and marketing strategies, coordinate firmwide initiatives, and drive client targeting, media, and thought leadership efforts.

The role requires senior BD expertise, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to manage pitches, events, and sponsorships to grow revenues across US and global markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of legal or professional services experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with client focus.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Experience with budgeting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies with attorneys and partners.
• Create competitive pitches, credentials, and presentations for ENRI and firm-wide initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-office initiatives, share best practices, and engage Americas BD team.
• Conduct market research and advise on marketing strategies for ENRI.
• Plan client events and sponsorships with the events team and PR.
• Maintain ENRI proposals in the firm’s global database and support team development.
