Job summary

Deloitte Tax LLP’s Global Employer Services Technology Group seeks an Senior Manager of Engineering to lead talent strategy across multiple product teams for the GA platform. You’ll shape hiring, coaching, and deployment plans with product leads and architects to accelerate delivery while upholding quality and standards.

Hybrid work is expected; you’ll partner with global teams, drive engineering productivity metrics, and influence decisions in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership with direct management of talent.
• Experience hiring, developing, performance managing, and allocation of engineers.
• Ability to use engineering productivity metrics to drive decisions.
• Proven track record leading distributed/global engineering teams.
• Influence in a matrixed organization; strong executive communication.
• Willingness to travel ~20% and participate in immigration sponsorship if needed.
• Active accreditations such as CPA/Attorney/Enrolled Agent/AWS SAFe certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing productivity, workload, and skill coverage across product groups.
• Partnering with Product Owners to spot trends and propose improvements.
• Building and running hiring, coaching, upskilling plans and talent allocation.
• Tracking how investments improve delivery speed while maintaining quality.
• Facilitating decisions across product teams with accountability for talent outcomes.
