Job summary

Deloitte Tax LLP is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering for the Global Employer Services Technology Center. You will lead engineering talent strategy across multiple product groups, partnering with product leads, architects, and managers to optimize delivery speed and quality on a global platform.

The role emphasizes hiring, development, and allocation, with accountability for talent outcomes across the full portfolio. A hybrid work model and travel are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership, including direct management of engineering talent
• Experience with hiring, talent development, performance management, and allocation
• Proven ability to build and use engineering productivity metrics to drive decisions
• Experience leading distributed or global engineering teams
• Ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed organization
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel ~20% on average
• Active accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, AWS Solutions Architect, SAFe Agilist

Responsibilities

• Assessing engineering productivity, capability, workload, and skill coverage across product groups
• Partnering with Product Owners and leaders to identify delivery improvements
• Building and running hiring, coaching, and talent-allocation plans
• Tracking investments' impact on delivery speed, quality, and standards
• Facilitating decisions across product teams with accountability for talent outcomes across the portfolio
