Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support labor studies across Powertrain, Stamping, and Vehicle Operations. The role involves optimizing labor targets, coordinating with plants, and leading time studies with a focus on efficiency and standardization.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of IE or Manufacturing Ops experience and a Bachelor's in Engineering. Hybrid work arrangement in Michigan with domestic travel is possible.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support forward model and capacity studies for milestones, including Direct and Indirect Labor.
• Lead labor optimization efforts via benchmarking, target setting, and process changes.
• Support cycle line layout planning and virtual build events with operator allocations.
• Perform time studies and assist with plant builds and program launches.
• Maintain IE documentation such as Labor Glidepath and APT Assessments.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, and plant staff.
