The Core Industrial Engineer plays a pivotal role in establishing, maintaining, and advancing Industrial Engineering (IE) best practices, standards, and systems across Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) and Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME). This position is central to driving labor efficiency, optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting labor benchmarking, and ensuring robust data management and strategic planning for new programs and ongoing operations.
Develop and deliver comprehensive Industrial Engineering training programs, including MODAPTS, Lunch & Learn sessions, and dedicated PTME & VME Training weeks.
Manage and maintain the Industrial Engineering Competency/Training matrix and IE Manufacturing Capabilities / Pathway, leveraging it to guide ongoing development and knowledge reinforcement.
Manage the PTME Engineered JPH (Jobs Per Hour) Database and support the JPH Re-rate Approval Process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Act as the Industrial Engineering single point of contact for key manufacturing systems including APT/GSPAS, GMOD, OPIC, Global Integrator, and FPS Workstation Readiness, overseeing IE deliverables and labor screen content.
Manage Industrial Engineering SharePoints, including the Labor SAR site, to ensure accessible and organized information.
Generate pre-program (Pre-PS) labor estimates for critical activities such as Cycle Plan development, Capacity/Footprint analysis, Sourcing decisions, and various "what-if" scenarios.
Support the Manufacturing Labor Strategy.
Lead centralized labor communication and coordination efforts with the Controller's Office for key financial processes including Business Plan submissions, Board of Directors reporting, and Mix Wires analysis.
Coordinate labor support for the CPV and FPV processes.
Manage the GSPAS (Global Study Process Allocation System) Business Strategy, Tracklite Management, and support system assessments.
Support system upgrade testing for APT (Allocations Planning Tool) and VPS (Vehicle Process System) modules within GSPAS.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate’s skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
