Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a strategic energy leader to define and execute the end-to-end power strategy for AWS data centers across the Americas.

You will coordinate with utilities, EPCs, and Owner's Engineers to deliver scalable, cost-effective energy projects that align with AWS growth. The role requires negotiating power supply contracts, evaluating energy tariffs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive near- to long-term energy initiatives while reducing capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Business or other technical field.
• 7+ years working in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role.
• 3+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US energy markets, including financial models and rate analysis.
• 2+ years managing multiple million dollar power infrastructure contracts with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers in AMER regions.
• Manage Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV/HV power infrastructure, including contracting.
• Develop and execute energy strategies leveraging capital projects to reduce long term energy costs.
• Work with internal teams and regulators to enable AWS energy strategies and project delivery.
