Job summary

Meta is seeking a Manager of Energy Analytics to lead forecasting, modeling, and analytics for Meta's global data center portfolio. You will build and scale a distributed team, set standards, and partner with Infrastructure and Finance leadership to inform capacity planning, budgeting, procurement strategy, and rate design across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in energy, utility, or energy-intensive sectors.
  • 4+ years of direct people management experience, including scaling teams.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing energy usage data, tariffs, and wholesale market data.
  • Experience owning forecasting or analytical models used in budgeting, capacity, or investment decisions.
  • Experience building or scaling an analytical capability rather than inheriting one.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong communication and data visualization skills.
  • Experience developing narratives and communicating with multiple stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experience training and developing analytics professionals and mentoring team members.
  • Background establishing programmatic approaches to work and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience prioritizing competing stakeholder demands and communicating trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of energy analysts across data center portfolio analytics, renewables, cost and rate analysis, and forecasting.
  • Develop ICs and emerging team leads to scale the function.
  • Establish career pathways, calibration practices, and succession depth.
  • Lead with accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Serve as an expert on energy rates and usage for Meta's global data center portfolio.
  • Own development and improvement of models forecasting energy usage, generation, and cost.
  • Set and enforce analytical standards, including documentation, version control, and QA.
  • Support analysis and strategy for new rate structures in data center locations and markets.
  • Characterize forecast uncertainty with ranges and scenario views; analyze price/volume volatility.
  • Build standardized tooling, data pipelines, and reporting to scale the portfolio.
  • Consolidate energy data across utility, market, and internal sources into durable data products.
  • Own data controls and escalation paths for reliable data as volume grows.
  • Lead monthly and annual summaries of key energy metrics to Global Energy and leadership.
  • Partner with Infrastructure stakeholders to track design and capacity trends and improve load forecasting.
  • Provide energy expertise to internal teams and coordinate on requirements.
  • Represent energy analytics in cross-functional planning; translate findings to clear recommendations.
