Job summary

ABB is seeking a Global Category Manager to own the EMS/PCBA category for the Analytical business line. This senior IC role will consolidate global strategy with factories and teams across locales to build a resilient, cost-optimized supply chain.

You'll drive global strategy, lead sourcing via the CIPS process, negotiate agreements, manage plans and budgets, and ensure supplier performance and sustainability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Background in EMS/PCBA or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Track record of building and executing global strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global EMS/PCBA strategy for the Analytical line.
• Lead sourcing strategies using the CIPS process; ensure capability and capacity.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and renew price lists; manage terms.
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, and savings forecasts.
• Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Provide ongoing contract management and supplier oversight.
• Align factories, local teams, and global leadership to execute the strategy.
