ABB is seeking a Global Category Manager to own the EMS/PCBA category within the Analytical Business Line. This senior IC role shapes the global strategy and supply base across local, regional, and global teams to build a resilient, cost-optimized supply chain.

You will lead sourcing strategies, negotiate with key suppliers, manage budgets and savings forecasts, and drive cost-out programs to meet financial targets while ensuring supplier quality and delivery.

• Negotiate agreements, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions.
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Provide ongoing contract management and oversight with suppliers.
• Ensure all parties understand and execute the strategy and targets.

About the role:

Are you a sourcing professional who can turn strategy into action? ABB's Analytical business line is looking for a Global Category Manager to own the EMS/PCBA category and shape its global direction. This is a senior individual contributor role with real ownership. You will consolidate the global strategy and supply base together with our factories, working across local, regional, and global teams to build a resilient, cost-optimized supply chain. The category is at a critical moment, and we need someone who can step in, build the plan, and deliver it.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement the global strategy for the EMS/PCBA category for the Analytical Business Line, including supplier footprint, risk mitigation, and cost optimization
• Lead sourcing strategies using the CIPS process, ensuring the supply base has the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
• Negotiate agreements with key suppliers, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs to reach financial targets
• Identify, investigate, and select suppliers with focus on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
• Provide ongoing contract management and oversight with suppliers
• Ensure all relevant parties understand and execute the strategy, and that category sourcing performance targets are achieved

US candidates * While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $221,000 annually and is eligible for an annual bonus.
