Job summary

Coforge is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join its Global Legal team and serve as the primary legal advisor on labor and employment matters for Coforge’s U.S. operations, while supporting employment matters across Coforge’s global footprint.

The role covers day-to-day advice, compliance, policy development, investigations, disputes, and regulatory proceedings across a large, multinational workforce including IT services and professional services sectors.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience handling labor and employment matters in multi-state or multinational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical advice to HR and management on hiring, onboarding, performance management, discipline, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence, compensation, and workforce changes.
• Monitor and advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including major statutes and wage-and-hour rules.
• Draft, review, and maintain the U.S. employee handbook and workplace policies; lead updates on legal developments.
• Manage employment claims from demand letters through resolution, including agency charges and arbitrations.
