Job summary

The University of Alaska seeks an International & Out-of-State Employee Accounting Compliance Manager to lead employment compliance across jurisdictions, ensuring accurate payroll processes and forward‑looking strategies. You’ll partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, and Finance to build scalable, compliant systems and governance.

Relocation allowance is available for the right candidate; remote work may be considered for exceptional applicants, though on‑site duties and Alaska residency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field and five years relevant experience.
• Related Fields: Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Administration, or similar.
• Experience in payroll tax, accounting compliance, employment tax, leave administration compliance, global mobility, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll tax accuracy and compliance across states and international locations.
• Drive policy development and cross‑functional compliance initiatives.
• Supervise a team dedicated to remote work and global‑employment support; develop dashboards, audits and trend analyses.
