Job summary

Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) Inc / Division of Arrow Group of Companies in Southfield, MI is seeking a Global Commodity Buyer for a fully onsite role. You will manage global sourcing for electronics components and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure cost, delivery, and specification alignment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in commodity buying, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management, with a proven track record in electronics procurement

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commodity buying, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Strong Electronics procurement experience required.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage global sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements.
• Monitor market trends, supply risks, lead times, and commodity pricing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other internal teams.
• Ensure materials and components meet quality, cost, delivery, and technical requirements.
• Support supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and new product development.
• Manage purchasing activities while maintaining supply continuity.
