Job summary

Celestica's Global Commodity Management team seeks a seasoned Global Commodity Manager (Electronics Distribution) to define and execute sourcing strategies for distributors and key suppliers. You will negotiate terms, drive cost reductions and lead global negotiations while coordinating with sites to mitigate shortages and improve supplier performance.

You will implement strategic supplier development programs, analyze pricing and contract conditions, and report to senior management on supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business is preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience (including EMS industry experience) preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of supplier development, strategic sourcing and commodity management.
• Commodity management experience in Semiconductors, Interconnect, Electromechanical & Passive components and/or distribution sourcing.
• Knowledge of customer contracts and contractual obligations as they relate to supply chain requirements and liabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
• Experience with driving supplier development/management.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and work cross-functionally across the organization to achieve objectives.
• Ability to effectively interface with international sites and suppliers to establish strong working relationships.
• Good understanding of global business environments.
• Frequent overnight travel is required (up to 25%)

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the sourcing strategy for distributors and assigned commodities/segments.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Lead quarterly distribution negotiations and pricing forecasting.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders across regions.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements.
• Support supplier quality and corporate commodity initiatives.
• Engage with sites to mitigate shortages and manage supply risks.
• Represent sites in supplier reviews and strategic initiatives.
