Job summary

WLG in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design end-to-end eLearning courses with SMEs across regions. The role focuses on storyboard-based content and course structure, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.

Responsibilities include developing content in Moodle, designing various assessments, and evaluating course impact. Collaboration with clients and SMEs is essential, along with QA and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in education/training development or related field.
• Three years within last five in eLearning development.
• Experience communicating with clients and SMEs through the design process.
• Hands-on use of current authoring tools to build content.
• Experience developing content inside an LMS.
• Portfolio covering at least three eLearning projects.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs across nations to analyse learning needs.
• Define clear, measurable learning objectives for the course.
• Design course structure: modules, lessons, assessments.
• Develop instructional content from source material using storyboard design.
• Choose instructional strategies for different learning styles.
• Design pre-, formative and summative assessments to gauge progress.
• Run evaluations to measure impact and feedback for revisions.
• Provide instructional design assistance and QA to other providers.
• Prepare, facilitate and evaluate instructor-led, virtual and residential sessions.
• Research emerging learning technologies and recommend adoption.
