Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in public health, Safety, Environmental Science, Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or similar.
• Completed at least two years of college coursework.
• Able to work full time for 10 to 12 weeks.
• Strong critical thinking to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
• Basic project management skills.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to organize data and present findings.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Comfortable working independently and engaging with diverse teams and roles.
• Able to receive, interpret, and act on verbal and written guidance.
• Experience researching scientific literature using internet or technical article databases.

Responsibilities

• Support biosafety program development and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Assist with biosafety change management and process documentation.
• Collaborate with Biosafety Officers and SMEs on protocol reviews, training materials, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Track biosafety events, analyze trends, and support preventive strategies.
• Maintain biosafety manuals, guidelines, and web content for accuracy.
• Share best practices from global sites to evolve the EHS program.
• Provide project support to develop and implement global biosafety programs.
