Job summary

University of Michigan is hiring an International Education Program Manager (Hybrid) to advance international student success through program development, immigration advising, and strategic outreach. The role reports to the Director and collaborates across campus to enhance internationalization and student services.

The position is full-time with a hybrid work model at UM-Flint implications. The role requires DSOs/ARO duties, user of Sunapsis, and experience in coordinating orientation,

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience developing and implementing student development and engagement programs in an educational setting.
• U.S. Citizens or lawful permanent residents as required by Homeland Security.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.
• Experience with coordinating international student services and education abroad programs is a plus.
• Knowledge of immigration advising and compliance workflows is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored resources to support international students' transition, engagement, retention and success.
• Serve as liaison between the Center for Global Engagement and campus units to connect students with resources.
• Plan orientation, welcome events and cultural integration workshops.
• Provide immigration advising and support for F-1 and J-1 students and dependents.
• Maintain records and collaborate with Registrar, HR and Payroll for compliance.
