Job summary

University of Michigan Flint is seeking an International Education Program Manager (Hybrid) to support the Center for Global Engagement and advance international student success through program development, immigration advising, and cross-campus outreach.

The role oversees orientation, retention initiatives, and communications for international students, scholars, and prospective students, with a hybrid work arrangement in Flint, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years developing and implementing student development and engagement programs.
• May require some evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop resources to support international students' transition, belonging, retention and success.
• Serve as liaison between the Center for Global Engagement and campus units to connect students with resources.
• Advise on immigration matters for F-1 and J-1 students; issue I-20s and support CPT/OPT/ STEM OPT workflows.
• Coordinate education abroad pre-departure orientation and alumni engagement activities.
• Develop and implement communications plans for international students from pre-arrival through graduation.
