Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Director/Manager of Development Engineering for sensors to guide the design and delivery of sensor products across U.S. and global markets.

The role focuses on electronic-based products with embedded microcontrollers, sensors, and firmware, while leading cross-functional teams across electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering. Candidates should be able to collaborate internationally, with onsite attendance 3 days per week within 100 miles

Qualifications

• Director / Manager of Development Engineering for sensors.
• Diverse applications for sensors including automotive, commercial vehicle, off road, industrial or adjacent markets.
• Experience managing engineering groups in the U.S. and globally.
• Strong business development understanding for sensors and customer contact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of sensor products for the U.S. and global markets.
• Develop electronic-based products, incorporating embedded microcontrollers, sensors and firmware.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical, firmware, mechanical and systems engineering.
• If you are living within a 100 mile radius of Chicago or Milwaukee, no relocation is required but must be willing to report to the office 3 days a week.
