Job summary

Bausch + Lomb seeks a Director of R&D Global Portfolio & Project Management to lead a team of project managers and coordinators across a designated business vertical. This role drives New Product Development governance, translates customer needs into product requirements, and defines budgets, timelines, and risk strategies.

The Director will mentor staff, contribute to cross-functional initiatives, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives while advancing process improvements and governance

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Science or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in Medical Device/Pharma and 10+ years in R&D Project Management and Leadership.
• PMP certification a plus; Agile methodologies preferred for software projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of project managers to ensure successful execution of projects and programs.
• Mentor GPPM staff and drive talent development within the team.
• Collaborate with HR to attract, retain, and grow high-performing talent.
• Governance and oversight of NPD, budgets, scope, and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, Operations, and Commercial.
