Job summary

QXO seeks a Director of Transportation Safety to lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for world-class safety across global operations. You will guide executive decision-making, partner with senior leaders, and lead a team delivering scalable, data-driven programs to reduce risk and protect lives.

The role oversees driver qualifications, collision mitigation, telematics, and advanced vehicle safety technologies, aligning safety with corporate objectives and growth plans.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation safety or fleet risk management.
• Experience owning enterprise-level safety programs and influencing executives.
• Deep expertise in DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, NSC and international transportation safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the long-term transportation safety vision and strategic priorities.
• Serve as enterprise authority on transportation safety and advise executive leadership on risks and regulatory changes.
• Establish governance frameworks and global standards for transportation safety across business units.
• Lead the design and execution of the Transportation Safety Program with scalable standards.
• Drive compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, NSC and international regulations; anticipate changes.
