Job summary

Waymo LLC in Mountain View is seeking a leader to define and execute global strategies for systems integration, diagnostics, and field engineering across multiple vehicle platforms. You will guide a multidisciplinary team through end-to-end hardware/software bring-up, from bench prototypes to autonomous fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in people management, growing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Deep technical breadth across electrical, mechanical, and software domains, HW/SW co-design.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering/integration for complex hardware/software systems.
• Experience scaling products from prototyping to high-volume manufacturing or fleet operations.
• Experience managing global teams and vendor relationships for hardware integration and manufacturing.
• Direct experience in Autonomous Vehicles, ADAS, automotive, or aerospace environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Waymo’s global strategy for systems integration, diagnostics, vehicle commissioning, and field engineering across multiple platforms.
• Lead, scale, and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering organization across Systems Integration, Diagnostics, Scaled Commissioning, and Field Engineering.
• Own end-to-end systems integration and bring-up of Waymo Driver hardware and OEM platforms, including compute, sensors, networks, and ECU interfaces (HIL) from bench to fleet readiness.
• Drive diagnostics infrastructure, automated tooling, and telemetry to support high-volume manufacturing and fleet operations.
• Establish and scale vehicle commissioning: end-of-line testing, provisioning, calibration at manufacturing facilities and service centers worldwide.
