The annual salary range for this position is $145,000.00 - $239,300.00, with the actual offer based on geographic location, experience, education, licensure, and skill level.

Purpose Statement: Responsible for providing technical leadership and executing strategic initiatives by working closely with regional Manufacturing Engineering leaders to evolve operations, increase productivity, and reduce costs through:

  1. Enhancing our ability to drive scalable, global solutions
  2. Identifying, establishing, and continuously improving standard work globally to ensure consistency across tools, reporting, and processes
  3. Scaling global best practices
  4. Achieving high-quality standards at all sites globally
  5. Providing escalation support for technical issues
  6. Developing action plans to improve KPIs and achieve best-in-class performance
  7. Developing necessary technical skills of subject matter experts (SMEs)
  8. Monitoring compliance with industry regulations and standards
  9. Aligning new solutions with the Manufacturing and Sustaining Services Technology team
  10. Leading effective deployment of new solutions

These efforts support our operational focus on the relentless removal of waste and our imperative to standardize, scale, and improve as we think differently to enable growth to $10B.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  1. Characterize and control critical operational standards and methods to enable quality, cost, and delivery on customer products. Lead best practices sharing and adoption within engineering operations. Lead process capability matrix development relative to the technology roadmap. Lead equipment installation, operational, and performance qualification.
  2. Serve as the standard work subject matter expert for manufacturing operations. Ensure processes, organizational capability, and culture meet commitments to customers. Build collaborative relationships with internal and external customers. Lead the development and adoption of standard work for processes and technologies.
  3. Create and monitor objectives, goals, strategies, and measures for engineering teams. Establish efficient processes and systems to track and report on initiatives, resources, projects, and savings. Lead the development and adoption of process performance monitors to achieve takt time.
  4. Serve as the primary escalation point for engineering activities to ensure appropriate resource leveraging. Manage issues to achieve root cause identification and deployment of systemic corrective actions.
  5. Exemplify and uphold Plexus Core Values. Focus on potential evaluation, succession planning, and employee development and coaching to realize full potential.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
  • 10 years of related experience is required
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, AS9100, TL9000, ISO 13485, FDA GMP Quality System Requirements through training or experience is necessary
  • Black Belt certification is preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically about 25%, which may increase depending on project demands
