Korn Ferry has been retained by a global, publicly traded manufacturing organization to recruit a Global Director, Finance Shared Services, based in the Greater Minneapolis area.
Reporting to the Global Controller, this leadership role will oversee the company's global Finance Shared Services organization, driving service delivery, process excellence, and transformation across Credit-to-Cash (CtC), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Travel & Expense (T&E).
The successful candidate will lead a large, global team while advancing automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, strengthen working capital performance, and improve operational efficiency. Partnering closely with Finance, IT, Procurement, HR, and business leaders, this individual will play a key role in modernizing finance operations and building scalable capabilities to support future growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Shared Services Leadership
- Lead a global Finance Shared Services organization across multiple regions, cultures, and time zones.
- Develop and coach senior leaders while driving talent, succession, and organizational capability strategies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
End-to-End Process Ownership
- Provide strategic leadership and governance across Credit-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Travel & Expense processes.
- Drive performance in customer onboarding, credit and collections, accounts payable, supplier management, expense operations, and working capital initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency, and user experience across finance operations.
Finance Transformation & Digital Enablement
- Develop and execute the global finance operations transformation roadmap.
- Lead process standardization, simplification, automation, and operating model improvements.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and external vendors to optimize ERP, workflow, analytics, AI, and automation solutions.
- Champion change management and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
Service Delivery and Operational Excellence
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, governance forums, and operational dashboards.
- Improve service quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, cycle times, and cost efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Governance and Business Partnership
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Controllership, Internal Audit, Procurement, HR, IT, and business leaders to support enterprise priorities.
- Influence decisions related to organizational design, operating models, technology investments, and transformation initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Shared Services, Global Business Services, Finance Operations, or Finance Transformation.
- Deep expertise across Credit-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Travel & Expense processes.
- Proven experience leading large, globally dispersed teams and developing high-performing leaders.
- Track record of building and scaling shared services organizations, global operating models, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success leading finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with ERP platforms, workflow technologies, analytics, AI, and digital finance solutions.
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
