Job summary

Abbott is recruiting an experienced EHS leader to drive global environmental, health and safety performance within the Division. You will partner with Operations to ensure regulatory compliance, implement Abbott's EHS policies, and lead a matrix team across multiple plants worldwide.

The role emphasizes governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field required; master’s preferred.
Minimum 12 years of related experience in EHS.
Extensive technical expertise in EHS and plant-level EHS.
Managerial experience leading senior professionals.
Experience in Division or Corporate management and international contexts.
Strong relationship-building with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Establish SLAs with Corporate EHS&E Regional Support for Division Ops as appropriate.
Lead development and implementation of Global Division’s position on EHS emerging issues.
Interface with regulators and trade organizations to influence regulations and expectations.
Collaborate with Abbott EHS leaders to understand trends and business impacts.
Communicate issues, solutions, and implications to internal stakeholders.
Provide tactical direction to develop and implement the EHS strategic plan.
Keep current on emerging technologies and regulatory issues affecting the business.
Staff, retain, and develop qualified EHS positions to meet needs.
