Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Sylmar, CA is seeking an experienced EHS Director to drive global EHS performance within the Division. You will oversee regulatory compliance, implement Abbott's EHS policies, and coordinate with Corporate EHS&E Regional Support to ensure consistent program delivery across worldwide operations.

Qualified leaders will have a track record in managing division-level EHS teams, shaping strategy, and partnering with regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or related field
• Minimum 12 years of related experience
• Extensive technical expertise in EHS and plant-level EHS
• Managerial experience leading senior professionals
• Division or Corporate management experience
• Division Operations experience preferred
• International experience preferred
• Team leadership with cross-divisional and cross-functional participants
• Proven ability to negotiate with peers, regulators and clients

Responsibilities

• Direct accountability for EHS performance throughout Division.
• Provide indirect management of Global, Divisional EHS plant personnel and coordination of all EHS for Division worldwide.
• Partner with Division Operations to ensure regulatory compliance and consistent EHS program implementation worldwide.
• Collaborate with Corporate EHS&E Regional Support to provide consistent EHS service across Division Operations.
• Lead the development of a global EHS vision and strategy and implement governance and metrics.
