Job summary

Rapid7 seeks a Senior Director, Customer Innovation to lead the specialized technical sales organization, including Sales Engineering Specialists, Forward Engineering, Labs, and the COE. You will drive long-term global technical sales strategy that scales across the specialist and operational sales engineering teams, directly impacting revenue and product innovation.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience leading technical sales or systems engineering teams in cybersecurity.
Proven track record managing multi-tiered organizations (managers and above).
Experience with labs, demo environments, COE or enablement functions.
Strong understanding of enterprise security platforms and API ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Formulate and deliver an end-to-end macro strategy for Sales Engineering Labs, COE, and Forward Engineering teams.
Develop a 12-month organizational roadmap transitioning the team to a unified, strategic ecosystem.
Transition the sales engineering unit to an enterprise-grade platform that advances architectural vision.
Mentor successors and formalize execution plans for frontline leaders.
Build succession and development frameworks within the COE to raise engineering standards.
