Job summary

AlphaSense seeks a Director, Compensation to lead the global compensation function and build a high-performing team. You will own base pay, short- and long-term incentives, and executive pay while partnering with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to shape the comp philosophy and programs.

The role balances operational excellence with strategic vision as AlphaSense scales toward IPO readiness, ensuring equity and competitiveness across markets with a growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience leading global compensation in a high-growth tech company.
• Ability to design and administer base pay, incentives, and equity.
• Demonstrated team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to executive compensation and Compensation Committee processes.
• Experience managing multiple cycles in Workday and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year compensation roadmap aligned with market positioning.
• Own global compensation structure across base, incentives, and equity.
• Manage end-to-end compensation programs, including annual and mid-year reviews.
• Collaborate with VP Total Rewards on executive comp and governance materials.
• Advise on complex compensation matters with cross-functional partners.
• Conduct quarterly market analyses to ensure competitiveness and equity.
• Develop training and communication tools for compensation programs.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on offers and internal mobility guidelines.
• Oversee Workday configuration for compensation cycles with People Systems.
• Lead and coach a high-performing compensation team.
