Job summary

Booking Holdings seeks a Direct Tax Manager, B2B in New York to lead global direct tax initiatives. You will coordinate with Product, Commercial, Legal, IT and Finance, shaping tax strategy and implementing scalable, compliant solutions across geographies.

You will manage tax projects end-to-end, assess tax positions, and keep abreast of evolving tax regulations, guiding the team toward accurate reporting and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in taxation is an asset.
• Be detail-oriented and proactively lead medium- to high-complexity projects with global impact.
• Solid knowledge of direct taxes in a global environment.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum 8 years of direct tax experience in a Big 4, top law firm, or major corporation.
• Self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented, owning tasks and opportunities.
• Clearly express ideas and adapt communication to stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Balance attention to detail with a broader strategic perspective in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage global tax advisory matters related to direct taxes for the B2B unit.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for projects from scoping to implementation and stakeholder management.
• Assess the company’s direct tax position and interpret business models.
• Analyze direct tax implications for existing and new programs, products, and partnerships; identify risks and opportunities.
• Research global direct tax developments and ensure compliance with new rules.
• Manage direct tax projects and implement tax-compliant plans for new services or country launches.
• Coordinate with external advisors and provide timely direct tax reporting and tax payments.
• Build direct tax awareness within the B2B group and contribute to the team’s long-term vision.
