Job summary

Amgen seeks a Director, Global Diagnostics Strategy Lead to shape global diagnostic strategies across molecules and programs. You will align therapeutic and diagnostic development objectives and lead cross-functional Dx teams to drive regulatory approval, launch, and lifecycle management of precision therapeutics.

The role partners with product teams, governance forums, and external diagnostic partners to ensure integrated plans and informed decision-making across global markets.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s/Bachelor’s with extensive pharmaceutical/biotech experience in diagnostics, clinical development, or related field.
• Strong understanding of diagnostic development, oncology precision medicine, or companion diagnostics is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead integrated, end-to-end diagnostic strategies from early need assessment through launch and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Product Teams and program leadership to align therapeutic and diagnostic development objectives.
• Evaluate diagnostic strategic options including assay and platform approaches, regulatory and commercial pathways.
• Lead Dx Development Teams to ensure tactical execution and alignment between Rx and Dx plans.
• Communicate balanced assessments of diagnostic opportunities and risks to governance forums.
• Oversee external diagnostic partner strategy, including selection and collaboration.
• Lead global launch, commercialization, and lifecycle management for diagnostic platforms or assays.
