Job summary

BD in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Leader, Demand & Supply Chain Planning to oversee planning across platforms, optimize inventory, and drive service levels. You will guide teams across forecasting, capacity planning, and scenario analysis.

The role requires strong analytical skills and cross-functional partnership with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance, plus the ability to present insights to leadership and contribute to annual business planning.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of key Supply Chain concepts (Demand/Supply/Production Planning)
• Experience in manufacturing environment coordinating multi-discipline activities
• BS in Supply Chain Management or related field
• Proven ability to engage with cross-functional organizations (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Quality)
• Advanced Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
• Demonstrated customer-centric focus and global orientation
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to planning expert, providing guidance on complex issues
• Lead cross-functional supply chain projects from planning through execution
• Align global supply, operational, market, and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities
• Lead customer service communications for assigned product portfolios
• Monitor production attainment and communicate supply constraints and risks
• Monitor capacity and partner cross-functionally to resolve constraints
• Partner with demand planners to mitigate risks to service, inventory, and cost
• Develop global inventory allocation and production prioritization strategies
• Lead backorder reporting, root-cause analysis, mitigation, and team updates
• Define, recommend, and maintain safety stock targets
• Provide finished-goods availability dates to Commercial teams
• Analyze inventory performance, depletion, targets, and excess risk
• Plan inventory allocation for global regulatory builds
• Support SKU rationalization, RECODE, and product lifecycle initiatives
• Manage product phase-outs to minimize obsolete inventory
• Lead supply planning for new product launches, including stocking strategy requirements
• Perform advanced analysis for issue resolution and financial evaluation
• Query and interpret data to support decisions
• Provide insights to Business Unit leadership and support annual business planning
• Prepare executive-level presentations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company requirements
