Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise database administration, with 5+ years in management.
• Deep expertise in Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, RAC/Always On, replication, tuning.
• SOX/ITGC compliance experience with audit coordination.
• Vendor management and SOW negotiation experience.
• Budget and cost-center oversight experience.
• Cybersecurity policies applied to database environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end operations of HP's enterprise database portfolio across on-premises data centers and public cloud.
• Oversee architecture standards, monitoring tooling, and the DB360 platform for automated password resets, maintenance scheduling, SOX reporting, and access management.
• Lead quarterly patching cycles across Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Serve as escalation point for P1/P2 database incidents, driving root cause analysis and recovery.
• Provide consulting on database-related inquiries, performance tuning, and architecture.
• Define database architecture and product roadmap for technologies the team supports.
