Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Manager, Supply Chain (Data Operations) to lead SpaceXAI’s data operations team.

You will define sourcing strategies, manage global data suppliers, and align with engineering roadmaps to deliver high-signal datasets for model training and evaluation. The ideal candidate has deep experience in data operations or technical sourcing and a proven track record in fast-moving environments, with strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in business, supply chain, engineering, procurement, strategy and operations, or technology.
• Alternatively 10+ years of experience in one of the listed areas in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sourcing team focused on high-quality data acquisition across major taxonomy categories (e.g., agentic tool use, coding)
• Define category strategies in partnership with engineering and model performance teams and build a strong pipeline of exclusive datasets
• Oversee the global supplier network and end-to-end sourcing and supplier qualification to meet aggressive targets
• Negotiate major agreements focusing on pricing, volume, quality, exclusivity, and reliable delivery
• Continuously improve, standardize, and scale sourcing processes, workflows, tools, and planning systems
• Track team and category KPIs; provide updates to senior leadership
