Job summary

Expedia Group seeks a Global Data Sharing Engineer in Seattle to design and operate data pipelines, APIs, and reporting infrastructure ensuring auditable regulatory outputs. You will collaborate with Product, Technology, Regulatory Operations, and Legal teams to translate complex requirements into scalable data contracts and technical specs.

You will lead technically, design AI-enabled workflows with governance, and mentor junior engineers while shaping the automation roadmap across geographies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, data engineering, or similar.
• Experience leading technical projects across multiple systems and teams.
• Expert SQL and data-modeling skills with complex joins and performance-aware queries.
• Experience building or operating production data pipelines, reporting, or automation with auditability.
• Experience with AI-enabled workflows, validation, and governance in production.
• Proficient in at least one language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Bash, or PowerShell; cloud platforms, APIs, version control, testing, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional infrastructure and data-platform initiatives from discovery to deployment and handover.
• Serve as the data contracts and technical requirements SME for Product & Technology teams.
• Design, build, and operate data pipelines, models, APIs, and reporting infrastructure for regulatory outputs.
• Identify repetitive tasks and prototype AI-enabled workflows with validation and governance.
• Shape the data-sharing automation roadmap and mentor analysts and engineers across teams.
