Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Global Data Sharing Engineer to design and operate scalable data-sharing infrastructure across regulatory and business needs. You will translate complex legal requirements into data contracts, data models, and reliable pipelines, working with multi-disciplinary teams globally to ensure compliant, auditable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 6+ years of infrastructure/data engineering experience in production.
• Experience leading well-defined technical projects across multiple systems.
• Expert SQL and data-modeling skills including complex joins and performance-aware design.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Java/Kotlin/Scala) and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional infrastructure and data-platform initiatives from discovery to handover.
• Serve as reporting and technical requirements SME for Product & Technology teams.
• Design and operate data pipelines, data models, APIs, and reporting infrastructure.
• Identify high-volume or error-prone work and prototype AI-enabled workflows with validation and oversight.
• Shape AI automation roadmap and mentor analysts and junior engineers.
